The Hannover public transport network is surprisingly good, although it can be very daunting to newcomers to the city to understand the bus system! Trams run until just past midnight from the city centre most nights, and all through the night at a lower rate on weekends for some lines. Tram lines are bundled together by those going in similar directions, which is fantastic for when you need to head between places located close to the centre, as you can hop onto any of the bundled trams passing there! Many of the end stations have Park and Ride parking places, where you can leave your car and continue into the city on public transport. Rates are not too cheap, but reasonable, especially compared to other bigger cities.
Bus services generally are marked by numbers - the higher the number, the further out the bus goes, and are a whole lot more confusing - but very good to go around the city. All tram lines pass through the city centre, while buses often connect the end points of the tram lines.
Check out the Kroepcke underground station - a science fiction film was once filmed here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
