Anyone who knows me well knows that pink is definitely not my color. I grew up a tomboy and pink was way too girly for me... and it still is!
However, when Danica from Pink House left her card for me at the Yelp in Bloom event, I was intrigued... and I finally made my way to historic downtown Glendale to check this pink place out!
The store is centrally located in a very 'happening' part of Glendale... I followed my mapquest directions, parked right in front of the pink awning, and walked right in... and I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw.
The store is a co-op. It's sectioned off in a way that you can see each designer / buyer area, so there is something for everyone. Whether you like solids, prints, antique vintage looking stuff, jewelry, accessories, etc... Pink House has you covered.
I found the merchandise overall to be extremely trendy yet very affordable. I tried on a bunch of stuff but it was a day that I wasn't too happy with what I saw in the mirror, so I didn't love any of the tops, bottoms, or jumpers that I tried on. I did however, purchase two summer scarves.
While Pink House is a bit of a hike from where I live and work, it's worth a trip if you're looking for something different.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dolores G.Phoenix, États-Unis54257428919 nov. 2010Avis mis à jour
My maiden voyage into Pink House was for a Yelp event. I never know what to expect from little boutique shops. Everyone here was friendly and helpful.
Pink House on top of doing some reclaimed vintage clothing is also a designer co-op, so along the walls and through the interior you can find unique clothing and accessories made by local designers. I love businesses that support and promote the creativity we have locally.
Oh I was expecting "boutique" prices, a bit out of my range at the moment...but to my surprise it was all extremely reasonably priced. Almost dangerous, in a good way. Like most boutiques, I was also expecting not to find much in terms of plus-sized apparel. But they did have a few tops and some cute dresses.
The drive from downtown PHX is quicker when you are not fighting rush hour traffic and after having peered into some of the neighboring shops I will be back up here soon to explore.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 019 nov. 2010Avis précédentAnother great Yelp gathering. This one more intimate and fun as always. Not having been to historic Glendale before I was truly surprised when I arrived here. I parked a block or so away and walked, peering into storefronts along the way. Wow, it truly did feel like a whole other city. I was excited to see that the city preserved some of the historic value and its charm. Not like other cities who raze it all to replace it with new and shiny, and not always better.
Now back to Pink House. A small but not too small store that utilizes its space well. Tons of creative accessories, clothes and trinkets. The event also featured a fashion show. This was great. We also had some nice snacks, drinks, a little sweet ice cream treat and a gift bag with some Yelp sh-wag, coupons and more information on historic Glendale.
Thank you Lindsay and Yelp for introducing me to this area of the valley and Pink House which I will have to come back and explore more soon. - 19 nov. 2010
While not a place I would shop it was a fun evening with my fellow Yelpers. I will take others word that this was a nice boutique and reasonably priced. The snacks offered from up the street at Btiz-ee Mommas were tasty. Working and eating in the area it was good to see some Yelp attention drawn to it. I heard several positive remarks from folks that had never been in the downtown shopping area.

Once again, Lindsey puts on a great event...this time at Pink House. I have only been at this retail shop once before and was really looking forward to coming back. And there is no better excuse than to hit it up for a Yelp event! Complete with drinks, snacks and to top it off with yummy birthday ice cream, I was in heaven shopping around the store. There was a raffle and fashion show. I quickly became mesmerized by a sparkly, long necklace one of the models was wearing and snatched it up after the fashion show. Linda W. and I both snagged the same pair of rhinestone hoop earrings that were incredibly reasonable ($8.50) (which is exactly why I love this place). Great job Lindsey!!

Pink House is definitely a fun house. They have so many fun, fashionable, and adorable items. I found a wonderful treasure here at Pink House in downtown Glendale. Thanks to Lindsey and Pink House for the gift bag, fashion show, foods and drinks. I'm glad I saw Tina T. holding a pair of bling bling earrings. I couldn't resist not getting them.

What a fun event and fun shop! I live 10 minutes away and never even knew about this place! Made me realize I need to give down town Glendale a fair shot and look forward to exploring around!
The shop was really cool and I totally dug on the concept! Everything there was reasonably priced and hard to resist! I love that they support local artists and vendors and allow them to sell directly to the public through the store!
Bitzee Mama down the street supplied the night with delicious mini tacos, taquitos, and chimi's and LUCKY ME I won a $25 gift certificate there through the drawing! Woooot! Cant wait to go check that place out! Also my sister won a gift $25 gift certificate to Pink House! She was sooo excited, she has never won anything in her life, so it totally made her night!
Great getting to meet Lindsey in person and hang with the ladies of Pink House! It was a fun event, loved the fashion show! I will be seeing you all very soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bao H.Scottsdale, États-Unis1329977299518 nov. 2010
That was fun! I always enjoy supporting the local businesses around the valley. Pink House supports both local artists and designers by allowing them to sell their creations. That is totally awesome! They have so many different items -- my personal favorites are the jewelries. I'm a dude and I don't really wear any jewelry, but I know where to get them if I do haha! Hey the holidays are just around the corner and it's someone's birthday everyday :) You never have enough accessories to compliment your style I always say. So learn they have events every month around the store and in downtown Glendale -- where have I been besides in my man cave! Now I have a place to go to on the west side besides West Gate :) - enjoy!

Lots of fun! Got to enjoy some drinks & see some good people, participate in witty chatter & did a little shopping. Love the location, always reminds me of Glendale Glitters since it's in that area. Great boutique, cute & unique items. I also especially loved the handmade jewelry. I'm definitely going to have to go back :) I think they were selling the suitcase I had when I was 4,,, it's now considered retro, lol

Thanks to Lindsey and Pink House for a nice soiree. Yummy snacks, drink and a fashion show. What more could a girl ask for? I am glad I got a chance to see this cute cute cute shop. There are some unique items for sale. Loads of vintage and kitschy jewelry and clothes. The prices are reasonable and items are good quality. I may have to come back soon. The Hello Kitty bags were so adorable! How old is too old for Hello Kitty?
