I went here for a free comedy show and was excited to try the pies. I had the SMOG (Steak, Mushroom, Onion, and Gruyere) and Baltimore Bomb (Chess cookie) with since I wanted to try one of each of the savory and sweet. I loved how the upstairs bartender asked if I wanted ice cream, whipped cream, or both. I definitely said both and was not disappointed. They were big portions and delicious. My only complaint is that the prices weren't listed on the menu so I was not expecting an $18 bill for 2 slices of pie. But considering I got a big serving of dinner and dessert, I suppose it's standard DC prices.
The staff is nice and they give you a pager at the upstairs bar to let you know when to pick up your pie from downstairs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 25 nov. 2019
Dry, unevenly reheated, and overpriced. Not my best introduction to what D claimed was "the most famous pie restaurant in Baltimore." The service was meh, they offered the suggestions when asked and the food came out rather quickly. But the pies were not evenly heated and one side was cold. The crust was good, but with the price and size ration rather skewed, I can't honestly recommend this unless you are specifically looking for an expensive slice. I didn't try any sweet pies so maybe those are a better option. The salad it comes with has dressing in a container that is some type of vinaigrette. Might give it one more chance for the sweet pies.
Also found it a bit weird that there are only drink prices posted. Maybe because I would not have ordered two servings if I knew two small slices and salad would be $20.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 9629492219 avr. 2019
Sorry about long review but plz take time to read!
I've been to the original location in Baltimore(my first time going) and absolutely LOVED IT. Left the shop with 5 pieces. This was different.
Environment :
Late night visit at 10pm. They close at 330am. The crowd was drunk/high & loud young adults.
The first server had an "over it" attitude like she had been working too long so i gave her a pass considering the crowd in the store. The other server was smacked. Lit. Off the natural grass. Whatever you wanna call it, she was so high she could barely open eyes.
Order:
From top to bottom in the picture i got; Baltimore bomb,s'mores and French toast.
I've gotten the Baltimore bomb in Baltimore & fell in love. This was not that. The consistency was off and so was the flavor profile. I didn't finish it, ate a quarter of the slice. My boyfriends had the s'mores, he said it had a weird aftertaste. We split the French toast and only ate the top of it. The consistency was just WEIRD. usually their cream base pies are smooth. This was more so lumpy and gritty.
Really not sure if this was a location issue or hr of the night issue.
I've attached the Baltimore pie pictures for reference!!
Won't be returning. If i ever drop by Baltimore again & I'll stop at the original location.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1 mars 2019
My friends have all been here and even ordered pies to bring to my house parties but I've never stepped foot inside until tonight.
The lower level has two dozen or so seats (2- and 4-tops) and the ordering counter is to the left far side.
The menu is on the left wall, lacking any descriptions, probably not needed for their regular base (newbies can refer to their website).
I ordered a key lime pie because I'm stereotypically me. It was very, very good! Creamy, smooth, consistent, sweet but not overly so, and fresh. Thick slice. Homemade everything from the looks of it. The crust was very crumbly. It didn't look as award-winning as say, Stanford Grill's, but it held its own.
The service was friendly and adequate. There is a bar and a stage upstairs for performances!Helpful 63Thanks 0Love this 57Oh no 0 - 25 janv. 2021
I had been eyeing these pies at my local farmers market this summer. We always get there too late to snag the most popular pies. I was told I could order online and that delivery was free. So fast forward to Christmas and I finally order a pie! Actually a spinach quiche! It was very good. The delivery was great. I got a text notification that it had been delivered. The pie has a light crust that doesn't crumble when you cut it. The ingredients were high quality and fresh. The pie reheated very well, I'm a fan!

So after hopping around H st trying out a few choice dinners spots we ended up here. Can I say deliciously amazing. We got the somoas pie. It was huge. It had cheesecake bottom. Oreo cookie crust and a yummy coconutty top layer that was awesome. The plastic forks didn't really work well for eating it. Me and friend shared it, which turned out to be a fantastic idea since we were already full.
It has few tables and serves savory pies with salad.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17 mai 2018
I'm gonna pose a question to you: Why are there not more savory pie places in the U.S. ?
Yes... now that you've just realized what I've realized for some time now; it's time to get angry. Now, that you're angry... I'm gonna give you something to ease your temper: flipping delicious savory pie.
I'm actually surprised that this place does not have a higher rating, cause what I tasted today was easily a 4.5 star experience. I round up cause the customer service was very friendly and the pies came out quick.
Yeah... but the U.S. is really missing out on a large food category here. I mean, I realized this when I was binge watching the Great British Baking show and it was like like.. what was it... water crust day? Or whatever category pie dough fits into it.
They all made these absolutely delicious giant pies that were essentially 4 inch thick layers of meat and veg with a thin outer layer of golden flaky pastry.
I don't know what universe you live in... but the one in which I live calls that folking delicious.
At Dangerously Delicious Pies (which totally lives up to it's namesake), I got to try the
*Tomato, Fennel, Sausage Pie 4.5*
*Steak, Mushroom, Gruyere 4.5*
*Chicken, Curry, Veg, 4.5*
I got the tomato one, Kimberly got the Chicken Curry, and Gretchen got the Steak.
I tasted each one and my favorite was actually Kimberly's: Chicken Curry. Which is quite curious, cause I'm not a huge fan of yellow curry. But that curry had a lot of depth. Also the curry was so nuanced, it wasn't punching you in the face being like "I'M CURRY! I'M CURRY!" It was more like... sitting by the pool on a sunny day, discussing the existential meaning of life being like, "by the way... I'm curry."
I did love my choice: the tomato fennel pie; don't get me wrong. The fennel wasn't overpowering which was something I was worried about.
Each of the pieces was a hearty portion and I love how it came with just a little greens on the side with a balsamic vinaigrette.
It was a REALLY delicious meal... dangerously delicious even. Yeah... I did have to say it again.
Can't wait to get more savory pies.
Also, today on the internet I saw this meme that was talking schist about sweet pies... calling it like disgusting fruit soup with thin pieces of hard dough on top. Ya know what... you don't like pie, more freakin' pie for me.
I'll take all the pie.Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 16Oh no 0 - 18 mai 2018
Honestly, if everyone ate a little more pie the world would be a happier place. It is the ultimate comfort food whether you like it savory or sweet (luckily Dangerously Delicious does it both ways!).
It was lunchtime and my tummy was rumblin'. I suggested that we take a quick walk to the food truck area across the street and take advantage of the beautiful sunny weather we were having. We take the elevator down only to be greeted with sticky, hot, rain and a measly selection of food trucks to choose from.
Luckily, one of the options was Dangerously Delicious Pies which was more than enough to turn our rainy day frowns upside down. I went straight for the yellow chicken curry which was so richly flavored that I'm pretty sure that my mouth did a samba after each bite. The top crust was flaky and light but I felt like the edges were a bit too hard and thick making it hard to get that perfect bite (you know what I'm talking about!). It came with a green salad which was light, bright, fresh and tasty -- perfect for making you feel better about eating pie for lunch.
My coworkers and I also split the coconut cream pie but now that I'm thinking about it looks like we were given the coconut chess pie instead. It was wayyyyyyy too thick, sweet and rich for my liking but because it's a chess pie it totally makes sense. I'm a coconut cream girl through and through!
I definitely hope to make this part of our lunch rotation soon and I'll definitely be back to collect on that coconut cream pie :)Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - 25 mai 2020
I haven't actually been here but I got to try a few of their pies through a virtual tasting they did with Craft Beer Cellar. The pies that we tried were all SO good. The pecan pie was to die for. We will definitely be getting pies from here again.

Discovered this Dangerously Delicious location completely by accident! My husband and I were meeting up with an old college friend who had work at the Atlas Theater next door. We were looking for a place to sit and have coffee or something and noticed the sign in the window. My husband and I had been to a Dangerously Delicious in Baltimore and loved it.
We arrived around 3:30 on a friday and there weren't *that* many options available- only 30 or so. That's sort of a mock complaint because while we were sitting there the staff updated the cute chalkboard menu and added twice as many options. I wanted to consume at least half of them.
I had the mixed berry pie with whipped cream. My husband had chocolate peanut butter with ice cream. My friend had pumpkin with whipped cream. I also had coffee.
The pie makers really know their crust. I was impressed by the buttery flavor without being greasy and heavy. It was crisp, flaky and beautiful. The berries inside still had structural integrity-- I could tell the difference between the blackberries and the strawberries. The filling was thick without being gloopy. It really was a perfect slice of pie. I also tasted the pumpkin. I can't say anything more than that it tasted like the way pumpkin pie is supposed to taste- like autumn, cinnamon-y, pumpkin-y, creamy. The chocolate peanut butter was a little too rich for my taste but my husband loved it and even ate the crust. That's high praise from him. He's not a crust guy.
Even my coffee was great. I am pretty picky but this was the right strength of brew for me and I was able to fix it myself-- sweet and light, thankyouverymuch.
When we arrived their credit card processor was not working. They directed us to the ATM next door but while we stood there it came back online. The staff was friendly, chatty in the best way, and very helpful.
I highly recommend this spot.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
