Welp-it's a gym. They have equipment. They have weights. They have typical gym goers. Yup, that's about it. Not that special, not that unspecial. Sort of like oatmeal without the dinosaur eggs. It will satisfy but barely.

I began going here shortly after it opened. It smelled good then, a combo of new paint, clean equipment, and protein shakes. No changing rooms but a small place to shove your offspring with overly perky workers and lockers for your outside shoes. I thought, gee! I'm spending like $12 a month for this! This is super awesome! Oh gross! That guy didn't wipe off the machine he just used.

Pros-Very size-friendly. I have seen all different sizes of people there so there is no reason if you are overweight to be intimidated. Lots of machines (sadly, only one stair-climber. I guess they are no longer "in") and unless you come directly after work, you have no problem getting a machine. Also, they open at 5:30 which is great because I had to be to work at 8 like so many people.

Cons-Wow that place got dirty fast! There is no enforcement of cleaning after use which in many gyms you'll get kicked out if you don't do that since it's disgusting. People wear snow covered and muddy shoes on equipment and the staff does nothing to stop them! Weights are always, and I mean ALWAYS, taken up by local meatheads and there is no separate place for women to weightlift. To be honest, it is completely female weight lifting unfriendly. I've been there all of there open hours from 5:30 to 11pm at varying times during the week and it's always filled with rude men. You feel very unclean working out there. Be warned.

So many people say that because it's cheap, they stay. There is no reason to waste what little amount of money it costs! If all you want is a treadmill, PLEASE checkout the kick-ass bike/hike trails we have in the area. They are safe year-round and I go running, biking, skiing, etc. there and you get fresh air.

Another thing, look into LifeCenterPlus if you are in the Stow/Hudson/Falls area. You can negotiate them down since they are losing to this cheap place. The best part is the pools, classes, and the nicer people at LifeCenter. I negotiated to a price that was $14 more than Fitness Nineteen and I get to go swimming or take classes! WELL worth it so check them out!
