Green Man

A nice friendly pub set between north and south chingford. Although I have not visited since it's refurbishment, I have heard there are now individual TVs somehow connected to each table!
Anyway, the food is generous and very well priced. It may not be a gourmet meal but you won't be hungry either.
The quiz is also very friendly and enjoyable on Sunday nights at 9pm. It's free to enter and there are prizes for the winners.
many other events are held throughout the year, details of which are always on display in the pub and outside.
It is spacious inside and the only downside for families could be they usually have a few machines which could pose a distraction for children (or adults!!)

I haven't been for a while, but this is a large family pub, which is part of the 'Hungry Horse' chain, which means it sells huge meals for low cost. Good for family outings, bad for the waistline!

Recently refurbished, this restaurant / pub offers good food for reasonable prices. Friendly staff, beer garden for the summer and plenty of parking. Children welcome

cheap good grub tv's in the booths keep the children and men entertained while waiting for there food family friendly but maybe a bit too lenient some very noisy children were running around with parents not paying attention
