This truly Parisian grand hotel rises in the very heart of Paris arts and culture. The 4 facades looks out on an emblematic monument: Louvre Museum, Opera, Comedie Francaise, Palais Royal Place. Surrounded by the best of Paris with four facades facing the most famous cultural sights, the Hotel du Louvre is two minutes walk from the Louvre Museum, and ten minutes away from the Opera Garnier. It is set in the heart of the fashion district just steps away from the boutiques on the Rue St Honore.

I so wanted to like the Hotel du Louvre given the perfect location, the classic Haussmann architecture, the extensive internal renovations and Hyatt management. Unfortunately it was not to be. The renovations were done poorly. There appears to be no management and while the staff is indeed friendly, they don't seem to understand the concept of service. In fact, they don't seem to know how to get out of their own way at times. Truly a disappointing experience on all levels.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 5 nights. We had included breakfast at their brassiere, also highly recommended.
There was a glitch with our room AC that couldn't be repaired in a timely manner so they changed our room the next day, no fuss. Even sent someone to move our luggage to the new room. For our trouble, they gave us a complimentary meal at the brassiere and apologized profusely. Everyone handling the situation was very polite, professional and efficient. Stuff happen, we all understand that. You want a place and a team like this working on your behalf to resolve unexpected issues. Excellent job. The bed and bedding is nice, the pillows soft. There is a mini-fridge with 2 bottles of water free daily. The mini-fridge is not filled with expensive junk either(more kudos) so you can really use it.
It's not far from the Big Bus sightseeing main information center also. Of course, it's across the street from the Louvre and the there are lots of sidewalk cafes in the area.
You won't regret staying here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katelin N.San Francisco, États-Unis12538812 nov. 2023
Don't waste your money. Upon waking in the morning we realized that the outlet in the bathroom wasn't working. Neither my companion nor myself could get it going. I called down and asked reception if there is a trick to it. They said no and said they would send up someone to fix it. When we returned from a day of sightseeing at 530pm there was a housekeeper still cleaning our room! We could not even get refreshed before our dinner reservation. We had to sit in the lobby bar and wait. Reception did offer to pay for my drink, which was nice. But it was such a hassel. The kicker is that when I requested a refund of some of the points used to purchase the room due to the outlet issues and the cleaning issues, the hotel caused me of lying! I will post the email in the photos. Ridiculous actions from is supposed to be an upscale hotel.

We had a wonderful experience there. The location is absolutely the best! Just steps from the Louvre Museum. Very unique design from other Hyatt, make you feel the best of Paris. Warming staff and nice view from the room and restaurant.

Even though Hyatt currently owns this hotel, it still maintains an elegant boutique feel to it. Location is probably the best feature of the hotel. It's right next to the Louvre and is a short walk to the Opera house and Champs Elysees. There is an onsite brasserie and plenty of restaurants within a five-minute radius. That alone is spectacular. For visitors during the Health Pass era, there are two pharmacies within a stone's throw of the place. That's where you show them your vaccination card and get a QR code to show upon entering public places and restaurants. It couldn't be more convenient.
As for the hotel itself, the staff was amazing from the first day to the last. The front desk and concierge crew were multilingual, so everything was super easy. I'll give a shout out to the concierge, as they were super helpful with questions about what was open, what was required for visiting tourist sites, etc. They gave such amazing tips. One thing I've noticed upon recent visits to Paris is that the younger workers not only speak English well, they speak colloquially, which is super impressive.
The room itself was spectacular. It was spacious and had comfortable furnishings. The bed was very comfy. They had the TV on a pivoting mount, so you could watch it from anywhere. We were especially appreciative of the wifi available throughout the hotel.
Adjoining the hotel is the brasserie, where we had a wonderful breakfast every day, and where we enjoyed a fine dinner one evening.
I highly recommend this hotel. It's been the best one in our 10+ visits to the city.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - 10 juil. 2021
The recently renovated Hotel du Louvre is centrally located (5 star for location), the rooms are standard Paris-sized (unless you go for their suites,), the standard rooms are about 250 sq ft but functional and freshly renovated with a modern contemporary vibe. The rain shower had strong water pressure, and the amazing view rooms (on the top floor) has 2 balconies which added the charm. Breakfast daily was wonderful and staffs are friendly. Everything very on point, and I think many of the negative reviews were pre-renovation.

My husband & I stayed here for a few days during our trip to Paris a while back (sorry, only catching up now!) and let me tell you, the best thing about this hotel is location, location, location. You are seriously within arms reach to the Musee du Louvre and in the center of all the hustle & bustle in this amazing city. A lot of main attractions are within walking distance or just a quick ride away on the metro.
When we were there, before all the renovations that are currently taking place, it still retained quite a bit of that old school charm. The rooms are small and feel a little cramped, but they're adequate and they provide you these lovely bath robes which I really liked. We also didn't stay in our room very much as we made a day trip to Normandy to visit Mont Saint-Michel and we were just out and about the city all day. The great part was we were able to stop by the hotel to take a nap in between our destinations because again, location.
There's also a restaurant located within the hotel called Brasserie du Louvre (currently closed for renovation) which was really convenient. We took advantage of it on our last evening in town and surprisingly, it was the best meal we had in Paris. Unfortunately I forgot my cell phone & camera in our room so I don't have any photos. Seriously, though.. it was delicious and the service was fast (not common in Paris) and really friendly!
If you want convenience and want to be in the center of it all, this is your hotel. Once all the renovations are done, I'm sure it'll be even better & what you would expect of a Hyatt hotel.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Sean O.Radford, États-Unis649076 août 2021
Location is fabulous. Up the street is Palais Garnier (old opera house) and a Pauls. Nice restaurants nearby. Louvre across the street. RER from De Gaulle gets you Chatelet. People inside were nice. The tour of the kings wine cellar was cool .... they take you from the hotel walking to the wine cellar. Not cheap, but we'll come back here next time we're in Paris.

A lovely stay I had at this historic hotel! Lucky I am to have the chance to experience the old charms of this boutique hotel, before its total renovation by May of 2019 when it transforms into a grand hotel!
The location is perfect for my weekend stay. Easy walk to the Louvre, to attend a performance at the Comedie-Francaise, to my favorite museum, Musee D'Orsay, and to shop along Rue Saint-Honoré!
My bohemian suite was on the top floor. Both balcony doors, one in sitting room and the other in the bedroom, opens up to the beautiful architecture of the Louvre. Not luxurious was the interior, with dated furnishings, dim lighting, worn carpet, and very few electrical outlets. Je ne sais pas quoi but I found the aura of this oldness to be so romantic!
Exceptional was the service at this hotel! From the doormen, concierges, housekeepers, to the receptionists, they all catered in pleasing the whims of their guests! Special thanks to Daniella and Margaux in taking those extra steps in making my stay here nothing but of sweet memories!

Fantastic beautiful place to stay and a very lux area to visit Paris from! The louvre is in full view from your room and it is beyond stunning. The architectural features and the historical beauty of the museum are right out the window and the windows open to a tiny patio for an unsurpassed Paris visit! I will not forget this place and it's own character and luxury and it's drop dead view!
