Hotel Aquabella is an unpretentious retreat in the beautiful town of Aix and in close walking distance to the cafes, outdoor markets and historic sites.
The pool is a welcome oasis during days of extreme heat. Indoor/outdoor seating for meals adds a casual elegance. We only dined for breakfast and they had a good offering.
Rooms are modern-minimalist with an eye for aesthetic, yet lacking with some functionality. For example, loved having a Nespresso in the room, bed was comfortable and maid service was good. Toilet was oddly placed in a very small stand-alone room the size of a broom closet. The shower was elegant, yet the half wall of glass caused pooling of water on the bathroom floor, no matter how careful we were. No bathroom fan was also a letdown.
Overall, a great hotel with friendly staff. We would stay again if we return to region, and perhaps spurge for a spa treatment!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Catherine B.Tampa, États-Unis03171819 oct. 2021
Nice location in the heart of the old city. Fair service. Clean. Very comfortable beds. Nice bar terrace.

Ugly hotel, badly designed, overpriced. We've been in France and Spain for three weeks and his is the worst hotel experience.

Pros:
the location. I love Aix. Beautiful city. The room had a bathtub. The manager was nice.
Cons:
The people who worked there (except the manager) were unhelpful and had zero clue about their hotel, the spa and their services, Aix in general, restaurants, markets, etc. They really didn't get we were 'visitors' who had never been there and they weren't that friendly. The room was dusty. My mom and I felt itchy during our whole stay.
Worth visiting Aix. I'd stay somewhere else.
This is not a 4 star hotel.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Will H.HI, États-Unis41123119 mai 2012
Loved this hotel... the roman ruins around the swimming pool... the fact that its in the heart of Aix is fantastic, just a cobblestone street away from the Squares, fountains and restaurants...
Super friendly bilingual staff [ but I did use my french]
Super room service staff [happy and friendly]
Spa build on ancient Roman baths...
Did not use the bar or restaurant [ we had Aix to explore...]
Clean semi modern rooms, hotel is in great shape....
Enclosed parking across the street is super inexpensive with hotel validation...
Word of caution..... rent a small car...really small car... mid size and bigger can't fit in the tiny entryway of parking lot and Aix's cobblestone streets are narrow!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
