I Can Hire

icanhire is a life saver and I love it. For a start, I no longer live in a trendy inner London area where these kinds of services are all over the place. Icanhire have obviously thought that the suburbs are a great place to put their services as there are not that many zip cars etc.
Secondly, they really are very reasonably priced. It was cheaper for me to hire a van for an hour and pick up an ebay item myself then to get a taxi back from the seller's house, even though it was literally round the corner.
Some things I would improve:
I would love to be able to simplify my booking via doing it quickly on an android/iphone app. Perhaps one where i was always signed in and had info on the nearest few vans to me.
Secondly I would like it if when i book, I didn't get sent 4 different text messages with the different bits of info but one message with all the info (booking reference, location of van and registration, pin number etc etc).
Finally, I would be over the moon and back again if they could think about introducing a zipcar type system for frequent users - some kind of card that unlocks the vehicle and charges straight to your account.
Otherwise, thank you icanhire for helping us burbanites get around without our own cars!

I had a very good experience with I can Hire. when make your first booking on line they quickly call you back and make a quick 3 way call to the DVLA to check you have a valid licence. You then are sent details of where your van is parked and how to pick it up. When you get to your van you call an automatic phone who asks you to enter the code you were emailed and voila! the van opens and the keys are inside. the transit i hired was clean and tiday and drove nicely too. you are given a fuel card so that you can return the vehicle with a quarter of a tank in it, but you are only charged for what you use. My van cost me £50 for the day and £8.08 in petrol which i think is very reasonable and better value than street car.

I was happy with the customer service The van was a bit of a grubby old thing but went well.I was charged extras with no warning docked for mileage I didnt expect and as I was expecting to be late tried very hard to contact them It took forever No contact possible out of hours.
Anyway the long and short is cost me just over £100 for the day that is for about 11 hours about £11 an hour all in So far!!!! They may well dock me a bit more if they fancy it.

This was a great van rental. Good price, located close to my home, easy process. This is how renting a vehicle should be!! Van could have been a bit cleaner but that was no issue for my purpose. Will definitely use again.
