Liberty Bell

Over the years the Liberty Bell has been the pub/restaurant that we frequently attend. Only last week I took a friend out for a meal which was excellent as usual, the service is always good there and the ambience too. Also I've spent many a Christmas Day meal there,all in all I thoroughly recommend it.

Had dinner in the liberty bell Romford last night. It was our first & last time. The food is of poor standard, proberbly from the microwave. Even tho it wasn't to busy ,it took age's to get our dinner. The service was poor as all the staff seem to vanish. When our waitress Sam did come back, she stunk of cigarette smoke. It would have been nice ,when receiving our meals , to be asked if we would like any other sauces to accompany our meal, as two members of the party had chips. Tomatoes sauce &vinegar ect wouldn't have gone a miss. The crumble is way to sweet for anyone to eat, and the custard was in a miniature jug that was the size of an egg cup. We then decided enough was enough ,and decided not to ask for any coffee to round off the meal. So managed to ask a member of staff for the bill. After waiting 20 minutes and still no bill we all stood up and waited by the till, a nice young boy started to attend to our bill. Even tho it wasn't his table, and 5minutes later our waitress arrived &took over , her attitude towards him was horrible. She was very angry , and very rude. One member of our party left early so didn't have the main meal. But we were still charged for it. Her attitude towards us was horrible , she was rude, unhelpful, and her attitude stinks. I would not recommend this place to any one.

just had a great meal here at the liberty, the service was fast and the portions huge. highly recommended. beware of the pay and display car park - bring in the ticket for the money off your bill!
