Lorenbecks Wirtshaus

A bar/bistro favored by the locals. Based on Yelp's rating, I stopped by for a quick bite.
It was not so easy to get to, but that may be because I cannot navigate the winding streets of Europe.

Service is so-so. Unlike the US, things move a little slower here. Took a while to get noticed, took longer to get a menu, the drink, the dinner and the check. Life isn;t all that hurried over here and its a good thing.

I asked for a beer and they brought me one. wait a sec... they didn;t ask me what I wanted.. they just got me one... turned out to be beer + sprite.. whoa.. kinda wierd beer. I thought I was in Germany.. there should be epic beer here. Nope.. lager + sprite..

After some miming, waitress and I agreed that I wanted beef. Roast beef came by, kinda bland and in brown sauce with heaps to red cabbage and potatoes. The cabbage and potatoes were better than the beef

I asked for a beer and this time, I was able to order a hefewiezen.. which was pretty good.
