I enjoyed the one exhibit but our visit was a bit short. Maybe they're doing a lot of construction and changing out a number of exhibits, because there was really only the one thing to look out.
"Captivate!" is curated by German supermodel Claudia Schiffer who is a native of the North Thine-Westphalia district making the Düsseldorf Kunstpalast a good choice. The exhibit takes us through the golden age of fashion and supermodels. Photographs, more photographs, some memorabilia and lots of captions in both German and English.
I enjoyed it but would like to have seen more art. If there's more going on here, we couldn't find it.

Beautiful Museum! The parking is a little tricky but there is plenty of it once you get footed! The museum is relatively large on the inside! The staff are friendly, attentive and super informative! Although I've been to Dusseldorf a few times now, this was my first time visiting the museum to see "PS Ich Liebe Dich" And I was wonderfully impressed with how organized and informative the exhibit was!
Can't wait to come back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - T M.Sunnyvale, États-Unis31421526 août 2009
Average collection of art arranged in a very disorienting way, not grouped by theme, time, style, anything. Plus quite pricey to get in (for a Londoner who is used to these museums being free).
However seems to have some prestige and the temporary exhibitions looked great. It is located near the glass museum which is convenientHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barry I.Coconut Creek, États-Unis025826 déc. 2015
In late November,I visited this fine art museum and relished its outstanding exhibit of paintings by Francisco de Zurbaran featuring his awesome depictions of monks, saints, and scenes from the life of Christ. This exhibit ends on January 31st,2016.I also enjoyed its panoply of Flemish and Dutch paintings, including splendid paintings by Peter Paul Rubens and Workshop, Caesar Boetius Van Everdingen,Frans Snyders,Jan Goyen,Jacob Van Ruisdael,Eglon Vander Neer, and Anthonie Van Borssom.,among others(permanent collection).Even though, this art museum had problems with its roof,i enjoyed its fine collection of German paintings, including delightful paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder("Ill-Matched Couple"),JohanKonig,Casper David Friederich,Andreas Aschenbach,Fritz Schider("Chinese Tower,English Garden Munich"),Max Slevogt("Back of Nude Lady"),Ernst Ludwig Kirschner,Auguste Macke Alexei Jawlensky,,and Wassily Kandinsky, among others(permanent collection). This art museum also has an excellent comprehensive collection of Glass Art .
