Booked and paid via booking.com only to be told on arrival that the pub was under new management and even though you could clearly see our booking in the diary refused to honour it and provide a refund as said it wasn't their problem. We were then left stranded and had to find somewhere for that night to attend a wedding!

Now I only visited the pub connected to this establishment, and a fine pub it was too. There is also a tea rooms and a hotel, and on days where the rain isn't pouring and tourists are abound it's probably a hive of activity.
The pub itself was a nice traditional place, old decor, a roaring open fire and no bloody television. A good pint of Bay's real ale warmed the cockles after a long, cold walk in the rain. The Pack Horse was like a big cuddle on arriving home. The experience was added to by the morris dancers who wandered in to sample some of the traditional pub grub. But for their bells, jingle-jangling if they so much as burped, they were great company.
During a washed out visit to Dartmoor, the Pack Horse was a welcome place to spend a few quiet hours.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (me7…)Plymouth, Royaume-Uni046128 nov. 2008
The Pack Horse offers good food and is probably the friendliest pub in South Brent. The Pack Horse offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation, tea rooms and a public bar. The Pack Horse often has local groups in their; folk night, a knitting group etc. THe Pack Horse is well worth a visit for an insight into village life.
