Always a required stop in London. There's a reason this restaurant has been in business more than thirty years.
Our favorite aspect is that they will give you a blind wine paring, so if you're into wine it is really fun to guess with no preconceived notions. Great service and hospitality.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 01 oct. 2014Avis précédentPied a Terre has become one of our favorite London restaurants. The atmosphere is intimate, and perfectly suited to romance or business discussions.
The food--especially the tasting menus--is as good as any from London's other top rated restaurants. But the real difference at Pied a Terre is the wine service.
Rather than simply selecting and pouring wines with each course, it is the restaurant's practice to offer a blind tasting, where the wine is poured first so you can taste it alone, then the course is served so you can see how it matches, and then you are asked to comment on the wine and (if you wish) guess what it is.
We find this to be tremendous fun. It forges a camaraderie with the sommelier that sets the experience apart from all other fine dining experiences. - 155274631756 mai 2022
Mr & I came here for our first evening in London. Ordered the 10 course vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing. The staff was friendly & jovial throughout the evening. Dishes were mostly hits with a few misses & same with the wine pairings Service started out overly attentive but by the end of the meal we were basically ignored
Each dish is probably a few bites but they all add up so you won't leave hungry
I liked how they offered wines from locations that were not considered "standard" like tasting from Greece that had strong tones of bay leaves
Dress code seemed all over the place with diners wearing faded tshirts, jeans & trainers to people wearing tracksuits (yes, really) to people wearing suits and ties so my advice would be to wear what makes you happy & enjoy your night out

I went here for a friend's birthday. We did ten courses and a five courses of wine. I was impressed with the vegan menu. Great presentation of food, which was also very delicious.

Pied à Terre serves beautiful -- but overpriced -- bites in a gorgeous space. We came while they were serving a special 30th anniversary set lunch; our favorites were the foie gras / truffle / croissant and cornish turbot with rose harissa. Overall, good food; just not super memorable.

This was one of the best dining experiences of my life!! We ordered the eight course tasting menu along with the wine pairings. Everything was outstanding. The attention to even the smallest details was incredible. There really aren't enough superlatives to describe the inventive, yet delicious meal we enjoyed. We will definitely be returning!

my first Michelin restaurant in London and it did not disappoint (this place is also London's longest standing Michelin restaurant). better than most 1 star restaurants in the DC area. the 10 course Greek/French inspired dinner was creative and delicious. staff was amazing as well. highlights were the cauliflower, turbot, egg kayianna, Yorkshire rhubarb, and honey ice cream with honeycomb. also their old fashioned in f'ing delicious.

Best meal of my life. Best service I've ever had, especially from Paolo and Keiron. A truly remarkable birthday vegan dining experience.

Wow! Thank you for making our night rather special. Efficiently organised by Ciara in the private dining room with a decadent space to celebrate. Paulo was wonderful describing the dishes and our sommelier paired each with a delightful, unusual choice where he explained how his choice enhanced the food. The wonderful banter between the two demonstrated the teamwork and passion at Pied a Terre. Thank you for putting up with our speeches, raucous appreciation and the longest goodbye ever. We will remember less as a result of the 'smokey Grappa!'. Xx

Exquisite meal! Food was delicious- especially the rhubarb Yorkshire pudding and peanut butter crisp dessert. Great ambience and outstanding service. I will be sure to reserve a table every trip I make to London!

Speaking of service, no one can fault Pied a Terre. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, all the servers knew of our dietary requirements, and were conscious to serve my wife and I different food. Even drinks they suggested were customised which I was really impressed.
We had the tasting menu, the food was superb and though the portion of each dish were small, the total is certainly more than the sum of parts.
Each dish were unique, and flavours were great.
While the food I'd say is more 4 stars, the service combined with the overall experience made it a 5.
Suitable for a good night out with some close great friends, or a romantic night with the special someone.
Could be even better if....
While the whole experience was perfect, my wife was pregnant, they could have been even more careful to swap out the petit four chocolate as it contained some alcohol in it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
