This is very a interesting restaurant, I can see that the owner did put some thoughts on it. When the first time I saw the name of the restaurant "Filmbühne", it got me wonder, why they have the word Film in their restaurants's name. Well, when I first walked in to the restaurant I totally got it. Film is the theme of the restaurant, there are many old movie star imagines all around the place. On the wall, on the menu, even some dishes name. Pretty cool. It made the restaurant quite unique and it got very nice atmosphere as well.
About the food, I had myself three courses, mushroom soup as appetizer, it was alright. Goose leg (Gänsekeule) as the main dish. Wow, that was really delicious. I tried serval places already, this was the best one I had so far. Apfelstrudel as dessert. It was alright. To be fair, I was already full.
The only thing I didn't really like was their service. There no one lead us to a table or something like that, my partner and I just walked in and found the table ourselves, probably because it was too busy. It was full house when we were there. But still a bit weird. Anyway, I did have a great time and I enjoyed my food very much. This place was much better than I expected.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie H.Portland, États-Unis14631 juin 2016
Great spot. We sat outside on a lovely evening. The gnocchi al a Bombay is unique and delicious. My partner enjoyed the lamb with rosemary potatoes and grilled veggies. Wide variety of options on the menu. Very reasonably priced dinner -- even with cocktails and a liter of rosé. The waitress was great -- very entertaining and prompt. Only wish we had saved room for dessert!
