It's a nice pub and definitely a good place to have a beer and enjoy some fish and chips - we actually tried them and it's good. But this is not a place for good food or a dinner with your wife or parents when the food is priority.

This pub is our local and a great little pub, provided you eat the right food!
The atmosphere is good and it is a reasonable size and there is both inside and outside areas.
St Margarets gets good marks for a wide range of ales and prompt efficient service most of the time.
The only downside is that you can only really eat the burgers, sausages etc. The cook can do these very well but don't try any fancy dishes or else you may regret it!
NB Pub is now green if you are looking for it and going off picture on Yelp.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 46221319218 juin 2012
This pub was our staple for a few weeks because I was staying down the street, and it was more than satisfactory! The food was spectacular and the staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for some good quality pub food and tasty beverages!

Did not eat here, but the ambiance was nice, and there was enough space for our crowd of 15-20 lads after the rugby. It was a good pub for post-rugby drinking, as by the end of the 20 minute walk to St. Margarets, the Twickenham crowds had dispersed a little. And by the time we boarded the train to Waterloo from the station (right opposite the pub), we could actually squeeze on board!

Smack bang in the heart of St Margarets village, St Margarets tavern is pretty hard to miss. Good thing then its pretty good at at a pub should do, being a social and friendly place, have a buzzy atmosphere and serves a diverse and commendable menu of good pub classics with a slight twist. If there's international rugby or football then this is definitely the place to watch it - it gets packed on match days but maintains a pretty relaxed atmosphere so you don't get football idiots in here. Apparently the three pubs in St Margarets have periods of highs and lows, but by all accounts the St Margarets tavern is still riding its wave.

Okay so the pub is not about to win any prizes for experimental and innovative cuisine, but if your more interested in big piles of reasonably priced filling food then you will be delighted (you may wish you hadnt ordered a starter as you slip a notch on your belt.)
This pub is somehow massive but also cosy. Great service, comfy, lots of locals, candles on the tables, great bbq and outside diningit all adds up to the near perfect pub.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
