Urban Alley Brewery

Being in Australia...I needed some local beers! I looked on Yelp for a brewery and found this spot. I'm so glad that I did!

When I walked in I was greeted and asked if I wanted to sit outside or inside. I opted for inside. After being seated I was told to either order off the QR code or go up to the bar.

After a look over the menu, I saw that flights were available. This was my best option to try a variety of beers!

I walked up the bar to place my order. Elphie (sorry if that's spelled wrong!) helped me. I told her I was from NY and wanted to try the best Australian beers; minus IPAs and sours. I asked her to pick the beers for my flight. She did an amazing job and I loved all of her choices. Each beer was unique and had great flavor. Thank you for your wonderful selection!

For food I ordered the cheese plate. While it was delicious and paired well with the beers I realized I should have ordered some "cooked" food so that I could've tried something the kitchen has to offer as I'm sure it would have been delicious.

I will absolutely come back here again when I'm on this side of the equator! I highly recommend coming here...Aussie local or not...this is the spot!

Well, we were wandering around a rather quiet Docklands, looking for a place to have a drink when we came across this brewery. The timing was pretty good in that regards, and as it turned out, this brewery was actually pretty good, but that is something that I have come to expect from a lot of these small time breweries. Yeah, the beer selection was really good, and the staff quite pleasant as well. What was even better was that the atmosphere was quite laid back, and it really wasn't all that noisy. This definitely turned out to be one of those places that I really liked.

Better than expected.

We stopped here to watch the footy final because it was super close to our hotel. The interior is huge and bright with plenty of seating for larger groups.

The Mister liked their urban lager, and I liked their wine list - plenty to pick from at decent prices. We split a pizza that was really pretty good.

Nice staff, decent food, lots of beer.

Good beer and food specials and located in a nice walkable area. The atmosphere here is nice and it's a big space if you have a large party. I recommend checking it out if you're looking for a low key night out in the docklands.

Just dropped in for a quick beer here after doing some holiday fun stuff for the kids. A nice big place with lots of craft beer on tap and some of their own beer to boot.

The staff were friendly but we only had one drink on our way through so can really comment too much.

Very impressed. Yummy pizza and huge glasses of coke!
The decor inside is lovely and there is a fantastic outside area with an open fire.
Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Quick service before the ice hockey game. Good food and the beer was icy cold. The burger was really good and the filet was good enough. The pepper gravy was very tasty.

Day off from Australian Open so we took the free city tram to check out the Docklands. Lots of shopping then food places. This is a big place good for a bunch of friends or families. Inside and outside seating. Regular Aussie pub way, order food and drinks, pay and everything delivered to your table.
Food was quick and tasty. My Urban Fried Chicken Burger was huge, with cole slaw inside. Husband had Caesar salad without the pancetta, it came with lots of chicken and crispy lettuce. Good selection of beers, house made pots $5 on happy hour!! Good prices on everything else. Definitely recommend for locals looking for American style brewpub.

It's ok. Great beer and family scene. Food not bad but service a tad on the slow side. I got my egg rolls, yummy and my Turkish dips and my hubby ordered a chicken burger and his came 15 minutes after my order. I was a bit irritated but Aussies are way cool and when the juicy chicken sandwich came , hubby was happy. Although it was a messy sandwich!!
Anyway it was a good lunch!!

Really good craft beer, but very disappointing nachos. Most of what we got for the nachos were the crumbs from the bottom of a bag. At $18 I expected more.

The enigma and district beers are highly recommended, but I may go somewhere else for food based on the quality issues we experienced.
