I absolutely love Gateway Lobster Pound! I've been to Maine every summer for the past 4 years, and Gateway is always a must. This family business is accommodating and welcoming and a great local favorite. The decor might put off some visitors, but if you can manage to overlook the clutter, the food makes it worth the trip.

The food is amazing-- great variety, high quality, and always fresh. I always look forward to the fried scallops, fried clams, and lobster. It is also worth noting that the pie selection is unbelievable and freshly made. Pricing is unbeatable, especially considering the amount and quantity of the food.

Gateway should definitely be a part of your travel plans.
